Course description
Make sure you and your staff know how to safeguard young apprentices and workers in your organisation with this short masterclass.
In one hour you’ll learn:
- what safeguarding means in the workplace and why it matters
- how the 4Rs of safeguarding can help you recognise, respond to, report and record concerns
- what policies and procedures you need to have and how to put them into practice
- practical safeguarding measures to keep young people safe in situations like overnight stays and social events.
This on-demand training covers child protection for work placements and apprenticeships, highlighting the different requirements for young workers aged 16 to 18 and those aged 18+.
With scenarios to help you reflect on the issues and links to further resources, you’ll feel better prepared to keep the children and young people in your teams safe.

Our masterclasses will work in most browsers, though we recommend that you use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari (not Firefox). You will need to make sure your browser is up to date.
This masterclass can be accessed on PCs and Macs, as well as iPads or other tablet devices. Please note, we are unable to provide full technical support for tablet users. We do not support other mobile devices. If you choose to use a mobile device we would recommend watching the video in full screen mode.
Videos clips hosted on the video sharing site Vimeo feature in the Masterclass. Video playback controls will vary and are dependent on the browser used to take the course and where the video is hosted. Your browser may automatically mute the video when it starts playing, but you should be able to unmute the video using the speaker icon on the bottom right of the player toolbar.

Duration: It should take you about 60 minutes to complete the Masterclass.
You will have access to the Masterclass for one year following purchase. You can take it as many times as you like in that time.
