Course description

Our CPD certified Child protection in secondary schools online training course will give you and your staff a better understanding of how to recognise, respond to, report and record concerns about a child or young person.

    

Child protection in secondary schools will help you to understand your role and responsibilities in protecting children and young people in schools or colleges from abuse or harm. The course is for all teaching staff, teaching assistants, governors, support staff or volunteers who come into contact with children and young people in schools or colleges.

    

Modules include:

  • Introduction (20 min)
  • Module 1: Recognise possible abuse (50 min)
  • Module 2: Respond appropriately (40 min)
  • Module 3: Report your concerns (30 min)
  • Module 4: Record your observations (20 min)
  • Module 5: Preventing abuse (20 min)

Our courses are compatible with most tablet devices, however the NSPCC does not provide full technical support for tablet users. We do not support other mobile devices.

Video playback controls will vary and are dependent on the browser used to take the course and where the video is hosted.
